Top 4 Breakfast spots in Playa del Carmen!

Playa has over 700 restaurants available for almost every taste and budget; we have noticed that many people find themselves with so many choices for have a breakfast in Playa del Carmen that they can’t make a decision! So we are narrowing it down to 3 great choices in the tourist are in town and a choice for those who wish to taste something different at a very affordable price and with a great flavor, out top local places!

 #1 La Cueva del Chango

The best place in town, I have personally eaten breakfast about 50 times in this place and the service as well as the food is excellent, the food here is made with love!

La cueva is a favorite and had great reputation on tripadvisor!

This is my favorite dish for breakfast! You should definitely try it! By the way the dishes look exactly as they do on the menu.

La Cueva del Chango ChilaquilesTraditional Mexican dish.Corn tortillas cut in quarters and lightly fried are the basis of the dish. Green or red salsa or mole is poured over the crisp tortilla triangles, called totopos. It is commonly garnished with cream crema, shredded queso fresco, raw onion rings and avocado slices.

#2 La vagabunda

Great menu and very well priced. If you are looking for mexican breakfast this is by far a really good choice, the service is really fast, I go every other Sunday and it`s always busy because they have nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good music.

 This is my favorite dish for breakfast in Vagabunda! Whenever I want a really complete big breakfast and good music!

La Vagabunda - Quinta Avenida Special breakfast-Pancakes, with scrambled eggs, sausage, ham,a hash brown on the side, and small fruit cocktail, a full amazing breakfast!

#3 Chez Céline

Follow the smell of freshly baked bread and find the authentic French bakery on 5th avenue! They offer typical French products like Baguette bread, croissants, pastries, sandwiches, quiches and salads. They have specials every night, to pare with a glass of wine: cheeses and cold meats platters, terrines, vol-au-vent and their savory & sweets crepes! Natural products, 100% homemade, high quality ingredients and lots of love…!

Whenever I feel like having a good talk and breakfast with a friend Chez Céline is my first choice

 Chez Céline The omelets are world class at this north 5th street indoor outdoor French style restaurant. Nice omelet with cheese on top and nice mushrooms.

If you are of the explorer looking to taste something different here is our local recommendation!

#4 Café Andrade

If you are walking around playa, exploring the area don’t hesitate to go here. Food service is fast and very good. Guacamole is great! It kind of has a fast food atmosphere but it is a great place to stop for a quick lunch for authentic food.

It’s great place for not only great food but service that makes you feel you’re having breakfast with friends . English spoken and they’ll even help you with your Spanish.Wide variety of food (breakfast is my favorite ) but it’s all good..The coffee and freash juice selection is terrific. Great location (by the Central Park 4 blocks from the beach and one from5th !

Cafe Andrade Mole (pronounced Moh-lay) is a common dish in Mexican cuisine, prepared with a rich, reddish brown chili-chocolate sauce using dark chocolate and guajillo peppers. Mole Enchiladas are prepared with chicken but can also be made with pork or shredded beef, (or vegetarian with corn, beans and rice filling).

So be sure to try these restaurants if you are vacationing in Playa! You won’t regret it!
